Global Stewardship Mission

The Fish Lake Valley Biochar Initiative is being researched and administered under the auspices of the Global Stewardship Foundation.

Global Stewardship Foundation is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Nevada as an education & research facility in 1994.

We are located in a high desert valley, a self-contained ecosystem on the edge of the Great Desert Basin. The climate, (5,000' alt.) offers the widest spectrum of weather variables, ranging from mild in spring and fall, to extreme, 140+° F in summer, and to -40° F in winter.

Our primary mission is to create a Global Stewardship training campus on our 40 acre research station located in Fish Lake Valley, Nevada. Our aim is to sponsor promising third world students to come to our institute and be trained in sustainable economic and environmental disciplines.

Our primary fields of study are:

  • Education (HeartStart® Homeschool Program).
  • Agriculture (Double-skinned geodesic domes).
  • Housing (Affordable, ergonomic, localized).
  • Energy (Biochar/Biofuel Initiative).

Operational Motto “If we can achieve sustainability here, anyone can do likewise anywhere.”

The Focus is Sustainability within these disciplines. The emphasis, -workability and practicality. Graduates, fully prepared to take vital roles as enlightened, confident, capable and ready eco-project volunteers, managers, and leaders. Skilled in the crucial emerging disciplines of Natural, Human and Economic Re-Sourcing, they arrive home as Bio-Renewal experts in their respective fields. They are the Global Stewards of Tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Stuart W. Pringle, Executive Director, Global Stewardship Foundation
and The Board of Directors, Fish Lake Valley Biochar & Biofuels Initiative
